WISI @ IBC 2014 / WISI Goes Broadcast: Premiere for the new platform Firefly for broadcasters

Niefern (Germany), and Bucharest (Romania) / August 22, 2014 / At this year’s IBC (September 12 – 16, 2014) WISI Communications GmbH & Co. KG (WISI) is going to unveil its brand new platform Firefly for broadcasters. Other highlights at stand B.50 in hall 4 are the extended intelligent systems and solutions Tangram and Chameleon for the build-up and extension of highly efficient head-ends and next generation networks and the optical platform Optopus, according a release by WISI.

The new WISI platform Firefly for broadcasters includes T2-MI de-encapsulation, PLP replacement and seamless ad-insertion as well as Multifeed SFN network synchronization, professional transport stream multiplexing, ASI over IP etc.

WISI is extending Tangram step by step. At IBC WISI will present the new ASI - IP Gateway GT 32 and the new universal IP processing module GT 41 for the encryption of content and optimized streams for IPTV solutions.

The head-end system Chameleon latest new software features presented at IBC will include the encryption of content with Pro:ldiom and extended processing and redundancy functionality. WISI also plans to extend Chameleon by a new HDMI input encoder.

Together with the Optopus platform solution for optical network WISI will present the fibre nodes LR 27 and LR 92, the RF receiver LR 91 and the optical in-house fibre termination LR 10.
