FILM BOX EXTRA HD-EXPANSION / FilmBox Extra HD launched on UPC DTH Satellite platforms in CEE including Romania

Bucharest (MEDIA EXPRES) / 7 ian 2016 / UPC DTH has recently added FilmBox Extra HD channel to its premium movie channel offer in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania - announced SPI International / Filmbox, the international pay TV operator which broadcasts the channel.

FilmBox Extra HD is now available to UPC DTH subscribers in the Filmbox Pak along with three other premium movie channels: FilmBox Premium, FilmBox Plus and FilmBox Family. UPC DTH operates its services under the brand name UPC Direct in Hungary, in the Czech Republic and Slovakia under the brand name freeSAT and in Romania under the FocusSat brand. Filmbox Extra HD channel is uplinked to Thor 1° West and will be available for multiple territories.

“The launch of FilmBox Extra HD is strengthening our Filmbox premium package on UPC DTH, which now includes four unique movie channels. The latest move also improves our channel line up on Telenor’s Thor 1° West,” explains Berk Uziyel, Executive Director of Filmbox International Ltd. “With our recent acquisitions from major U.S. studios such as NBCUniversal and Disney, our premium pack delivers the popular films and features a vast HD library,” Mr. Uziyel adds.

Disney's drama McFarland, USA starring Kevin Costner is one of the 2015 releases aired this month on FilmBox Extra HD.
