NAC–COLGATE–INTERDICTION / The NAC banned the “Colgate” tooth-paste commercials with “specialists in oral hygiene”



Bucharest (MEDIA EXPRES) / Sept. 13, 2005/ The National Audiovisual Council disposed the stoppage of the “Colgate” tooth-paste TV commercials, on the basis of illegal terms usage (for instance: “specialists in oral hygiene”).

The NAC also took into account the eventuality of stopping also the broadcast for the “Blend-a-Med” tooth-gels, because of the same illegal terms usage, but because the “German Blend-a-Med Forschung” company had already complied with the NAC’s demands of Audiovisual Law, the disposition against them had been redrawn.

Mrs. Mihaela Ungar, the Romanian (in Bucharest) female-representative for “Colgate – Palmolive Romania”, had stated that the current advertising commercials which are on TV have been there on since six months already.

The debates regarding these commercial stoppages had taken place during the official meeting between the representatives of “Colgate – Palmolive Romania” and the ones from the NAC, on September 13, 2005.
