You are warmly welcome to visit us at IBC2018 to discuss how Teleste’s headend solutions can help you grasp the challenge”, stated Julius Tikkanen, Vice President for Video Service Platforms at Teleste.

Headend solutions for engaging TV experience — when and where the viewers want it

As network technologies and content formats change, people are still “watching TV” services — whether they are real time or on-demand services. At IBC2018, cable operators are about to learn that the Teleste Luminato headend platform can help fulfil customers’ expectations of an attractive and engaging TV experience, while allowing you to be prepared for future changes in the number of services.

The Luminato makes a versatile and reliable solution for content reception, live content processing and video transmission over traditional HFC networks, and it also enables a shift towards Remote PHY-based network architectures. It receives content from various sources and then descrambles and re-organises it for network delivery with either CATV, OTT and/or IPTV applications. With its wide selection of modules, the Luminato also gives you freedom in service and application design.

Sustainable, high-density broadcast delivery with Teleste’s Dense modulator

The new Dense modulator to the Teleste Luminato headend platform allows operators to keep on providing smooth broadcast TV services to their customers. With its high-quality QAM modulation and agile up-conversion, the Dense modulator allows up to 24 QAM channels per module, forming a complete cable TV headend together with Luminato satellite, terrestrial, cable, IP and DVB-ASI receivers in one high-performance Luminato chassis. Combined with Teleste’s flexible support and service operations, it guarantees an easier-than-ever solution for a sustainable, high-density broadcast TV service over traditional HFC as well as distributed access networks.

Quantum leap in network capacity with Remote PHY technology

Visitors will are also be able to learn more about DAN300, our new DOCSIS® 3.1-capable Remote PHY device with RF overlay. Video delivery issues to consider when shifting to distributed access networks

"Stepping into new network technologies, such as Remote PHY, requires new approaches for carrying out a smooth delivery of video. The challenge is how to keep all services up and running during a network transformation and even after it has been completed. In our white paper, Challenges of Video Delivery, Shift to distributed access part 1, we introduce several options with their pros and cons for video transmission in Remote PHY networks. Download the white paper read more about the topic, and our conclusions".
